Working in Ayia Napa

The resort town of Ayia Napa offers wild parties and non-stop action in the summer. But many party travellers are not content with just a week or two of hedonistic partying. They want to make the stay more permanent. As you may already be painfully aware of, it’s very expensive to party on full throttle for months, so the solution for many is to do a working holiday.
The jobs you can get
Clubs and bars need people for various positions. Here are some examples:
What kind of jobs
Pulling people in off the street to the bar or night club -usually performance based.
Dancers – dancing on a podium, or on the bar.
Bartenders
DJs
Strippers
Waiters an waitresses
The wage
Depending on your position you are paid 20-40 euros per night of work. Not only do you get paid, you also get the extras that come with the job: Free drinks!
How to get a job
If you do not have any contacts or know anyone on before hand, the best solution is to arrive in Ayia Napa early in the season – April/May/June and walk around to the various places and ask for work. This way you can get yourself a job as a waiter or waitress or other good jobs.
If you arrive late in the season the good jobs are taken and you are left with the promo jobs and you therefore have to stand outside clubs and bars and pull people in.
Where to stay in Napa
You can get a bed in a small apartment for 250-400 euros a month. It is best to go around and ask in bars and restaurants about accomodation. Someone usually knows someone and can hook you up.
