The biggest bars and most of the nightclubs have hired dancers. The dancers are dancing outside the club to attract new customers.

The dancers are paid a flat fee every night, and are also given free drinks. Many of the dancers are girls from North Europe who spend 2-3 months in Ayia Napa in the summer to work and party. The amount they are paid is not much, but along with savings and free drinks it is usually enough to finance a few months of party lifestyle.
